Ibeyi is a French/Cuban musical duo consisting of fraternal twin sisters, Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, both born December 13, 1994 in Paris, France and founded 2013. The twins' father was the famed Cuban percussionist, Miguel "Angá" Díaz and their mother and manager is French-Venezuelan vocalist Maya Dagnino. The duo's sound combines Yoruban music with elements of jazz, pop, soul, gospel and hip-hop and the lyrics are sung in several languages including French, Spanish, Yoruban (from which the band's name derives. ibeyi="twins") and English. Lisa-Kaindé is lead vocalist and pianist while Naomi is the percussionist (cajón and batá).
