LOVE with Johnny Echols

Rock

LOVE with Johnny Echols is a band identity associated with Johnny Echols. In 2004 and 2005, guitarist Mike Randle and Rusty reported working with Arthur Lee on new song ideas and recordings, including fragments with melodies and words, as well as new material written by Randle and Rusty. These sessions were intended to produce new material for a then-aborted LOVE album. In 2019, the band released a very limited 7-inch single titled 'Are We OK' / 'Tinsel Tears' on June 26, coinciding with a farewell UK tour. This release marked Johnny Echols' first recording since LOVE's 1968 single 'Your Mind & We Belong Together' / 'Laughing Stock', which were the last recordings by the classic LOVE lineup that produced the landmark album Forever Changes.
